The language of ART

One morning I woke up not feeling so great, but that quickly was brightened by a very enthusiastic and excited Brooke!  She couldn't fall asleep the night before and was given the idea/vision for an art program here at COTP.  Before we came she had been given and was toying with the idea of helping with preschool.  I think she was excited about that, but with the full-time teacher now gone and no one coming right away I think the idea of starting the preschool back up seemed daunting and more difficult (to me anyway).  I think this was straight from the Lord and so perfect for Brooke.  She had everything thought out down to the different projects, the supplies she would need and how to fundraise the supplies.  It was so fun to see her excitement and even more fun to know that this is something she is not only passionate about but SUPER gifted at and totally qualified to do!

So, she and the girls decided to give it a test run one afternoon and just to some stickers and coloring with Noah's Ark.  I ADORE the pictures that I got during this time!  It went really well.  I think that since then Brooke has only taken 3 kiddos at a time and usually only one of my girls goes at a time as well.  This has seemed to be working out much better!

We are so excited about this and just the opportunity for Brooke to get to know the COTP kids and make a difference in their lives!  Art is a language that everyone involved knows how to speak and understand...Thanks, God for providing a line of communication that is so colorful and joyful!
