My Man

I started to upload these pictures after we went to the beach last week Friday, but with my fast from Facebook and so much computer time in my life I didn't come back to them right away.  While the fast is still continuing, I thought I would just post these...

Rob had a rough day today.  He is still smiling.  He is patient with our kiddos.  He is trying to unwind.
It is so easy for me sometimes why we are in Haiti when I look at this man.  God called him here for a reason and a purpose and he is doing his best each day to lead well in that.
He always told me he would never coach girls basketball...too much estrogen in one place ;)  Then we had three daughters...then we moved to Haiti and he leads a Haitian staff of 50+ women...looks like you got yourself a team coach :)
He is silly with them and he laughs with them...if you know my husband, he is silly with most and laughs with most...
It has come to be commonly known that you just don't know what you can take serious about him-when is he pulling your leg and when is he being blatant.
But one thing is for sure...this man is growing, he is seeking, he is walking.  He seeks to serve his God, his family and the people of COTP.  Days like today, that is a battle and it is ugly and it is hard...but it is also on days like today that the good in the staff we have seems to make its way out from the hidden places and the respect deepens and the rapport continues to grow.

Please join me in praying for this man.  God has put him in this place for such a time as this.  So many days he is pulled in many directions...work is demanding, his wife and family are demanding, the world outside the gate is demanding...but through it all he manages to continue walking, and seeking and growing...loving us well and leading us well.

Thank you, God for my man :)

  1. Whoa, I feel for Rob's female overload. The last two Sundays at Staci and I's Candle Light ministry I was the one and only male. Not even a boy amongst the kids. I think the cat that joins us is a male, so that's something. Can he at least veg-out on some ESPN.com once in a while? It's what keeps me sane. Staci and I will keep praying for you guys and your ministry. Adios.
