The EVE before...

(Due to my slower hotel connection-I posted my new pics to Facebook instead of here :)

Well...it is almost 11pm here in Florida. That makes it only an hour away from August 30th-the day we are scheduled to land in Haiti.  We have one way tickets.  Wow...

Rob just laid in bed next to me and asked me how I was doing...I am wide awake, yet exhausted...

It is almost as if I can't think quite straight.  We were on Skype tonight with one person after another saying our final farewells.  I was slightly emotionless.  I was even all smiles.

I really am trying not to think a ton about it...you know "over" think it...but it comes in waves.  I feel like little things will pop up in my head like, " Man, I didn't think of how that would work/what that would be like."  And I almost want to worry or be anxious.  But the Lord is so good and has been so faithful.  My verse today was Luke 12...

22 And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! 25 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?[c] 26 If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest?27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin,[d] yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 29 And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. 30 For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 Instead, seek his[e] kingdom, and these things will be added to you.

Tomorrow friends...tomorrow is our day.  I told the girls the other night, Thursday is going to be one of the biggest days of our lives.  We won't ever be the same, but we will always know that God called us to go and do something, and we chose to be obedient.  God didn't just call Mommy and Daddy though, he called EACH of us by our names and has a plan for each of us that is just ours.

So, with that in our hearts and on our minds, we will GO tomorrow.  And embark on a great adventure.  And while we are seeking to serve the Haitian people and more so the babies and kiddos of COTP...we are seeking to serve our God.  To hear his call to us and to OBEY him, ultimately bringing glory to his name.  We go forth confident that HE is paving the way and holding our hands.  We TRUST in the power of HIS name and the movement of HIS Spirit.

Join us, friends...pray us home :)
