We celebrated KJ's birthday a little early with brownie sundaes and presents!
We were BEST cousins growing up...then life happened for both of us and kind of led us in different directions for a while, but in the past 3-4 years our paths have come back around again. I love this lady and I am going to miss her so much! So glad that we will be able to see each other again at the lake next year and hoping for lots of Skype calls with her lovely family!
Her husband DJ, and Rob obviously have a "special" relationship ;)
Rob had the privilege of marrying Jess and DJ last summer and we have enjoyed getting to know them and spending time with them at the lake!
These LOVELY girlies were so AWESOME and made the drive all the way fro OC to Sioux Falls to eat Fro-Yo with me and chat one last time. Leah and Em were my student assistants last year when I worked at Northwestern, but oh, we were so much more than that. We had some lovely chats, laughs and precious moments which often involved the most amazing coffee flavored ice cream! I am going to miss these girlies!
Dustin and Brittany Hamm also drove over to Lennox on Sunday night to see us! We have had such a GREAT time getting to know them as a couple this year! Brit and I have led a small group of girls together for the past 4 or 5 years and Dustin and Rob have met, but it wasn't until we started playing Ticket to Ride with them--a GREAT thing within itself :) that we realized just how wonderful they were, got to learn more about their hearts for Christ and community and found ourselves blessed by being in such a GREAT relationship with like-minded friends! They are a blessing to us and are a blessing to so many in the places that they are serving right now! WE love them :)
